Betty Flow Mead

Betty McKinney Mead of Clarksville, Va passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 87. Born in Hospton, Illinois on September 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the Clyde Norman McKinney and Lorretta Adamson McKinney and was married to the Harry Edison Mead. Betty owned her own janitorial company. After her retirement, she enjoyed tending to her yard. She will be remembered as a kind woman who always gave to others.

Betty is survived by her two sons, Rick Spurlock, and his wife, Barbara, and Michael Spurlock, and his wife Donna, both of Clarksville, VA; a stepson, Bradley Mead, of Mt. Juliet, TN; two sisters, Vera McKinney Helton, of Clarksville, VA and Shirley McKinney, of Poplar Bluff, MO; 3 grandchildren, Ty Spurlock (Stephanie), Misty Spurlock, Brandie Luna (Christopher); and six great- grandchildren, McKenzie, Corbin, Scarlet, Whitney, Courtney and Mikayla. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister Iva McKinney and one grandson, Michael Spurlock, Jr.
