Carolyn Almond Barnes

OXFORD, NC - Carolyn Almond Barnes of Oxford, NC passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the age of 74. She was born in Oxford on October 24, 1952 the daughter of the late Garland Almond and the late Nellie Oakley Almond. Carolyn was the widow of Walter M. Barnes. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Karen Callahan and Lynn Etheridge, both of Oxford; sister, Crystal Scott of Henderson, NC; brother-in-law, Billy Williams of Oxford; and grandchildren, Sydney Callahan, Lacy Callahan, Emily Grissom, and Sterling Grissom. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Pat Williams. The family is being served by Cremation Society of Virginia – Southside, Inc.
