Harry Samuel Chassey Iii

Harry S. Chassey III of Bracey, VA passed away on March 13, 2023 at the age of 71.

Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Mildred Holland Chassey and Harry Chassey, Jr.  He attended Plymouth Whitemarsh High School and went on to attend Lehigh University, where he earned his degree in chemical engineering.  Upon graduation, Harry became a chemical engineer for Pfizer in 1973.  He later worked for Heubach Ltd. as a chemical engineer, serving as Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing.

Harry loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed residing in his home on beautiful Lake Gaston in Virginia.  His favorite hobbies included golfing, traveling, boating, and fishing.

Harry is preceded in death by his wife, Delores Chassey.  He is survived by his three children, Scott (Sarah) Chassey, Erin (Randall) Repsher, and Kirk (Susan) Jeffers, his three stepchildren Gregory (Lori Price) Sparks, Dana (Gary) Hoffmann, and Jason Zajac, his twelve grandchildren, his six great-grandchildren, his significant other Wilma Rutledge, and his siblings Jodie (John) Labor and David (Kara) Chassey.

Harry’s Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Lehigh University’s Packer Memorial Church, located at 18 University Drive, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

In addition, a Celebration of Life will take place near Harry’s Virginia residence on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Tanglewood Shores Golf and Country Club, located at 74 Tanglewood Drive, Bracey, VA 23919.
