Jana Christine Apgar

Jana Christine Apgar, wife of Robert G. Apgar, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2015.On July 7, 1950, Jana was born a twin, to the late Sammie Burns and Dorothy Hansen in Puerto Rico.Jana spent her career in the United States Army as a nurse anesthetist.She was chief of anesthesia for the 312th Evac. Hospital and served in Operation Desert Storm.Jana was an equestrian with a great love for horses.She also enjoyed creating stained glass art.Mrs. Apgar is survived by her husband, Robert G. Apgar, her sons and step son, Matthew Apgar of Masa, AZ, Shaun Apgar of Fort Stewart, GA and Jonathon Apgar of Charlotte, NC.She is also survived by her twin sister, Jean Alley of Clarksville and her brother Jim Burns of Richmond, VA.The family will have a memorial service in May, the date will later be decided.
