Sadie Mae Hulsizer Derr

Bullock, NC - Sadie Mae Hulsizer Derr passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the age of 88. She was born January 28, 1931, in Detroit, MI to the late Sarah and Clayton Hulsizer. Sadie worked in housekeeping with Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA up until she was 71 years old. She was a hard worker who took care of her family first; always the first to give praise to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an animal lover and her pets were her pride and joy. Sadie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Beamer (Firman) of Bullock; son, John Derr of Wyoming; grandchildren, Jodi and George Brown; great grandchild, Ryan Brown and great-great grandchild, Kaiden. She is also survived by a brother, Clayton Hulsizer, Jr. (Priscilla) of Florida and sisters, Irma Kriner and Edwina Barnhart both of Pennsylvania. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Emery and longtime companion, Harry Wertz. Arrangements are by the Cremation Society of Virginia-Southside, Inc.
