Retired Chief Warrant Officer Ernest Green, age 63, died on Friday evening, November 6th 2015, in his home surrounded by family and friends.Ernest was born in Sumter, SC; Farmville has been his home for over 20 years.Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Essa D. Green, 7 children, over 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He is also has a large family in Sumter, SC. that includes his mother, Mrs. Green, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. Ernest Green was a man who loved his family, friends, and his work.He was known for “checking on his neighbors”.There will be no formal funeral service, he had requested that he be cremated and sent home to rest with his father in Sumter, SC.
